I believe we purchased it in 1996 and have been watching it ever since without one service call. The picture on it was awesome. So it makes sense that I would stick with what works for me. It's very hard to find a review on the internet for this TV but I did find several. TV died after 5 months - can not turn on at allBy BENJCPI bought this TV (Samsung UN55C8000) in Oct. 2010, but it only last for less than 6 months. I called Samsung for service, and they assigned me a repair ticket with a Alpha DTV service contractor.
